Welcome to the
Dallas Cowboys Fanzine
"Barry Switzer Ate My Hamster Too's"
web presence.
So just what are we?
We are a group of Dallas Cowboys fans who produce a magazine for Cowboy
fans. Our 'fanzine' is a paper based, black and white publication and
has been running for more than 9 years. We gather interesting facts and
features from a wide range of sources as well as from the subscribers
who contribute articles and 'letters to the editor'. They are then
published monthly in a 60-68 A5 page fanzine called ... Barry Switzer
Ate My Hamster Too!.
Why Barry Switzer Ate My Hamster Too?
The explanation for the odd origin of this name can be found on the
menu bar to the left.
Who are We?
Many of the subscribers are long term fans of the Dallas Cowboys
Football team although some are more rabid than others. The majority of
us live in the UK but we have subscribers in several European counties,
Australia, Iceland as well as in the US. We're more of a community than just a fan
club as we organize trips to the US (mostly to Dallas but sometimes
we attend away games) to see our Cowboys play. A rotation of editors
are used to publish The Hamster (as the fanzine is known) and they are
known as the 1960 Committee. Its the 1960 Committee who also agree (with
much bickering) price & direction of the publication and of the group
in general. Details of this eclectic group can be found on the menu bar
to the left.
Any Fanzine Activities?
We run several competitions during the year mostly for bragging rights
(which are mercilessly used during heated email debates within our
private distribution groups), the details of which can again be found on
the menu bar.
Where do we sign up?
Check out the menu bar for how to join this somewhat bizarre and
oddly named group. |
